Volunteering at SDSM Schools

To become an SDSM volunteer you must be approved by your student's school. Once you have been approved please complete a background check. The background check takes approximately 1 week to process. You will be notified by mail or email of your background check results.

Student Family Assistance Program
The Student and Family Assistance Program (SFAP) includes free supportive resources for the families of students in your district.  SFAP provides up to 6 sessions of short-term counseling at no charge along with legal, financial, child care and elder care consultation and resources. Services are available to individual adults, couples, families.
